About Manu

I am a food blogger, food stylist, food writer (and pretty much food-everything else) between London and NYC. To me, home is where the kitchen is. My favourite thing to do is feed everyone around me. When I can't do that, I love helping people feed themselves and everyone around them. I cook easy, healthy, seasonal (for the most part) and crazy delicious (if I may say so myself) dishes and share them with you so you can share them at your dinner table.

I recently became an 'official' chef at The Ballymaloe Cookery School in Ireland, one of the best experiences of my life. For a foodie, it was like living in a dream. Every ingredient we cooked with came from the school's farm, which of course meant we could only cook with what was in season. Cooking with local, seasonal and organic ingredients has become so important to me (because it really does taste so much better!).

While I like to call myself a self-diagnosed coeliac, this is by no means a no-gluten blog. For some reason, eating less gluten just makes me feel less guilty, probably because I'm not automatically in my second trimester of a food pregnancy as soon I eat it, like I am with wheat products. I love experimenting with healthy ingredients and turning them into dishes that don't have my friends leaving my house with remorse. I am only human, however and sometimes that bowl of spaghetti just calls my name and I follow.

I guess you could call me a little particular (or picky) with what I post but if you'd like inspiration for what's in season, what to do with it and the occasional gluten-free recipe, watch this space!
